Get Living London welcomes 1000th resident to former Athlete’s Village

Get Living London, welcomes its 1,000th resident, Christen Ender, a 25 year old digital marketer from Bow to East Village E20 – London’s newest neighbourhood and former London 2012 Athlete’s Village. Christen’s arrival comes after a summer which saw East Village brought to life through an exciting series of community events and activities. Indeed, Paralympic Champion Ellie Simmonds OBE recently returned to East Village to open a new Sainsbury’s ahead of a raft of independent retailers that will open over the coming months, adding to the vibrant retail offering residents can enjoy.

Christin said: “…knowing that all of the homes were built, brand-new by several different architects for the Olympic athletes really appealed to me. It has a different vibe to a lot of other areas in London.”

Christin has joined the growing community at East Village E20 who have, in recent weeks, enjoyed the first ever East Village Fair, the East End Film Festival, the Vintage Car Boot Sale in the Olympic Park and Secret Cinema bringing Back to the Future to the neighbourhood.

Derek Gorman, Chief Executive of Get Living London, said: “Our 1000th resident is a fantastic milestone for East Village and we remain as dedicated as ever to ensuring we provide high quality accommodation through an honest, open and responsive service. We are positive that Christin will feel right at home as she joins our vibrant and growing community.’

East Village is one of the best connected neighbourhoods in London, with Stratford International and Stratford Regional stations offering over 10 different tube, DLR, Overground and rail lines to London’s key locations. East Village is set in 27 hectares of breath-taking parkland and positioned next to the world-class sporting venues of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
