Stratford Original granted Business Improvement District status

Get Living London welcomes news that Stratford Original has been granted status as a Business Improvement District (BID), following the ballot of businesses in the area. This means that £1.2 million will be invested in the area from the Greater London Authority (GLA) and the Stratford Renaissance Partnership (SRP).

The BID’s principal aim is to revitalise Stratford, fostering its status as a welcoming and attractive place for new visitors and businesses within the heart of the historic east end of London. This new and exciting vision for Stratford sets out a five year plan to bring prosperity into Stratford town centre, which will have lasting benefits for the surrounding community.

Neil Young, Chief Executive of Get Living London, commented ‘The clear mandate for Stratford Original’s Business Improvement District is not only fantastic news for local businesses, but also for the wider Stratford community and East Village itself. We look forward to working with Stratford Original and supporting the continuing transformation of this part of East London in our role as the owners and managers of the private rental homes at East Village, the first legacy neighbourhood.’
