Middlewood Locks Canal Festival 2025

A celebration of the canal

After last year’s success, the Middlewood Locks Fest returns on Saturday 10 May.

Join us for an action-packed festival through the day and night. Expect live entertainment, water activities, workshops, makers markets, food vendors and more. We’re also bringing a pop-up pub from New Oxford.

We’ll see boats returning to the Middlewood Locks canal with land & water workshops throughout the day.

Stay fuelled with street food from 14:00-21:00 and drinks served until 22:00.

What to expect?

• 14:00-17:00 – Performances from The Ski Band
• 14:00-18:00 – Makers Market with artists from Islington Mill
• 19:30 onwards – Sunset DJ set
• 21:00 – Fire installation
• Free paddle sessions in a rafted canoe (instructor-led). Book your space on the day
• Workshops include canal-inspired printing
• Mindfulness walks around the canal
