Named Nikkei cuisine, the sharp blend of spicy but fruity dishes of Japanese food with an Peruvian flare puts a twist on classic favourites such as sushi rolls, maki and ceviche. Bamboo Mat focuses on quality premium ingredients with balanced flavours.
Bamboo Mat, East Village is the second restaurant from chef duo Denis Gobjila and Victor Rosca. The two chefs met in London’s only other Nikkei restaurant, Chotto Matte and have worked in some of London’s most popular restaurants including Sushi Samba, Roka and Lucky Cat. Bamboo Mat restaurant launched in East London in April 2022 in Leyton. Bamboo Mat East Village is their second location.
