At Get Living, we are committed to creating choice for people who rent and offer a variety of new build apartments in different styles and layouts so you can find a new home suited to you. We make the renting process as easy as possible with flexible tenancy lengths up to three years.
We believe that renting a home should be more than just a place to live. It should be a place to thrive. We purposefully choose locations with brilliant transport links that are easily accessible to green spaces. Your friendly resident team, dedicated maintenance and on-site security make the everyday life a breeze.
Once you have chosen your new home, we will require you to make an Advanced Rental Payment to confirm the reservation. This is a fixed figure advance payment and will equate to no more than one week’s rent.
The Advanced Rental Payment will be requested at the start of the application process. Once received, we will confirm that the home has been reserved for you (subject to contract and references). Read the full terms and conditions under which we accept this payment.
Thanks to our referencing partner, you can say goodbye to painful paperwork and complete your affordability assessment, credit checks and referencing in a matter of minutes, at the click of a few buttons.
Our team will access and review your referencing details. We do not typically ask for employment references, but we might ask to see your last three months’ payslips and corresponding bank statements, your employment contract or, if you are self-employed, your most recent tax return. From time to time, we may ask for additional information to support your application.
When you rent a home with Get Living, a refundable tenancy deposit is required as part of your tenancy agreement. This helps ensure the property and rent are protected throughout your tenancy.
The deposit is equivalent to five weeks rent and is payable before your tenancy starts. Once received, we’ll register the deposit under the Tenancy Deposit Custodial Scheme (TDS) for safekeeping.
Your deposit is held securely and protected for the duration of your tenancy. Within 30 days of payment, you’ll receive confirmation that your deposit has been registered and information about how it’s protected.
We are also required to prove your identity and that you have the Right to Rent in England. We will ask for proof of your current address and to make physical copies of your passport or other suitable identity documents. If you have a time limited right to remain in the UK, we will need to complete this check no sooner than 28 days before the start of the tenancy, in line with the Immigration Act, 2014.
We appreciate not everyone’s circumstances are the same and if you do have any questions that are not covered in the above, please do contact the Get Living team.
