East Village partners with The Nomad Cinema to offer Londoners free outdoor cinema in August

• Watch on a giant pop-up screen in East Village’s Victory Park
• Enter ballot for one of four films – the classic Thelma & Louise, the quirky Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the kid-friendly Paddington and 80s thriller The Lost Boys

This August, London’s favourite pop-up outdoor cinema expert, The Nomad Cinema, is teaming up for the first time with East Village E20 to offer free screenings of four hugely popular films.
Film lovers will need to enter a ballot via the East Village website to win a pair of tickets to one of the four screenings, which will be hosted in Victory Park, East Village – the former London 2012 Athletes’ Village. The ballot closes at midnight Friday 31 July.

The Nomad Cinema has carefully chosen the films to ensure there is a title to suit every taste. For those that love classics, Thelma & Louise will be shown on Thursday 6 August whilst those that prefer an indie romance can opt for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind on Friday 7 August. For thrill seekers, American teen horror film The Lost Boys, is showing on Friday 14 August, and for families there’s the classic Paddington on Sunday 16 August.

On arrival at Victory Park guests will sit back and relax, tuning into the film via wireless headsets.
Early bird tickets were made available to East Village residents, with more than 300 free tickets now available in the public ballot.

These pop-up cinema screenings are part of Get Living London’s programme of FREE summer events as it transforms East Village E20 into the perfect summertime destination.
