Fireworks light up thousands of smiling faces

Get Living London’s annual Fireworks display proved to be bigger and better than ever before, with over 6,000 visitors descending on East Village to enjoy the occasion.

Families, friends, residents and visitors from across London headed to E20 for the showcase event, with the fireworks display being put on by the same people that illuminated the skies of E20 four years ago for the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony.

Food and drinks were on offer from a fantastic range of independent retailers with the audience enjoying everything from fish & chips and prosecco, to toasties and hot buttered rum.

Children (and adults!) were able to enjoy the luminarium, complete with flaming teapots and fire pits, to warm their hands in the early November chill. All in all it was another successful free Get Living London event for the residents of East Village and beyond.
