Free yoga class with Claudia Mirallegro

Manchester’s yoga instructor Claudia Mirallegro is returning (virtually) to New Maker Yards where last summer she hosted the city’s first canal side yoga classes with Get Living.

Teaming up again this weekend, Claudia will offer a free online yoga class this weekend on the @newmakeryards Instagram page on Saturday May 12th at 10am.

The Dynamic Vinyasa Flow class is open to all levels and will practice breathing techniques and core strengthening postures to help people relax and refocus their mind.

This adds to the virtual events calendar that Get Living has been delivering throughout lockdown to help supports the health and wellbeing for residents living in the neighbourhood, which includes weekly quizzes, arts and crafts workshops, as well as partnerships with local independent businesses to provide ‘Live Sessions’ of cookery classes, music lessons and fitness workouts.

A recent survey conducted by Get Living found that during the current Covid-19 lockdown those working from home are spending more time than ever before on physical activities, with 35% saying they are spending more time working out, meditating and walking.
