Fun, food and laughter for E20 Tapas Festival

People came in their hundreds from all corners of London for the East Village Tapas, Beer & Cider Festival last weekend – and it didn’t disappoint.

The festival, which Get Living London worked with its partners to bring to E20, welcomed people of all ages for a fun, family-friendly day.

Despite some ominous looking clouds people nonetheless descended on Victory Park in their hundreds, and were rewarded when the dark clouds parted to bask the area in glorious June sunshine.

Get Living London had provided visitors with a free tapas, churros and drink on entry which helped everyone to embrace the Mediterannean vibe, and with a great array of Spanish food and drink available, everyone was able to fully get into the Spanish theme.

Highlights included Street Kitchen’s authentic tapas, some very impressive bottle juggling by cocktail specialists Mixology, and some taste testing of food and drink done by Tasttour.

It proved to be the perfect way to kick off the summer season in East Village, and next up is a Wimbledon-themed East Village E20 Fair on 12 July, with everyone able to cheer on Andy Murray in front of a big screen. This will be followed by the East Village Summer Film Festival in early August run by Nomad. All screenings will be shown on a special inflatable screen, while the films will be “silent”, with audiences wearing headphones.

So this summer, jump on one of the many transport routes to Stratford and join the festival atmosphere in East Village E20! Keep an eye on the Get Living London and East Village websites for more details to come!
