Hypha Studios in East Village will host two exhibitions simultaneously over three month periods. The first two exhibitions will be open to the public from 27 January 2023.

Loess Collective comprises of 43 artists and 3 curators in postgraduate study at Goldsmiths University and the exhibition title plays subtle reference to the different nationalities, backgrounds and ideas of each artist.
Come discover the subterranean world of Stratford with sculptures which take inspiration from the underground pipelines in site-specific contexts or indulge in sensory awakenings through interactive installations playing on emotional memory activated by scent. Join for screenings of sound and film works investigating human relationships to invasive species connecting to our relationship with human migration. Immerse yourself in an exhibition of work with the image of the sword at its centre. Encompassing sculpture, painting, installation and performance this playful show skews traditional gender norms via a contemporary medieval focus: a PVC pig’s head eyeballs a flaccid knight, chain mail underpants glint in the light cast from a triple pronged painted blade. At times the exhibition becomes the setting for sword making workshops and medieval karaoke. Reserve free admission to ‘Who Holds the Sword?’ show.
