Sashiko Key Ring Making with Yiran

Fun and relaxing Sashiko Kogin workshop to make your own leather keyring, a perfect gift for you or someone you know.

Sashiko stitching: ashiko designs, even those with curvy elements, are often based on a simple grid. Accomplished stitchers can draw just a grid on the fabric and fill in the design by eye, simply stitching from corner to corner. Most of us, however, need a pattern.

About the Artist

Yiran, owner and maker of Yi Crafts is passionate about exploring communication between East and West. Yiran’s practice focused on how to combine to embroidery and traditional elements from Chinese costumes with Western techniques to explore intercultural connections. As a member of southern China’s Bai minority ethnicity, bilingual with a strong interest in crafts, textiles and their role in cultural communication and training.

Register your FREE ticket via Eventbrite.
