Get Living and Fiit team up to strengthen community wellbeing and power hybrid workouts

May 12, 2022
  • A new partnership between BTR operator Get Living and the no.1 fitness app, Fiit, gives 1,000 residents access to free on-demand workouts with world-class trainers
  • The partnership marks Get Living’s continued investment in supporting the wellbeing of residents across its London and Manchester neighbourhoods

16 May 2022: In another step towards supporting community wellbeing alongside providing flexible, tech-enabled homes, Get Living has partnered with the UK’s leading interactive fitness platform, Fiit.

Residents across Get Living’s London and Manchester neighbourhoods can now get a complimentary Fiit six-month membership worth £120, and 25% off thereafter. The memberships will give access to Fiit’s unrivalled library of more than 1,000 on-demand mat and equipment-based workouts, alongside its latest connected AirBike and Tread workouts, in addition to over 20 training plans that can be done at-home or in the gym.

Classes include yoga, barre, HIIT, dumbbell and kettlebell workouts, as well as the UK’s first interactive functional fitness workouts, each led by its line-up of world-class trainers including Gede Foster, Gus Vas Tostez, Luke Baden, Sean Kazab and Pete Pisani.

The platform will also empower and motivate residents to stay well as part of a new fitness community – through Fiit’s ranking system, users can compete to be top of the leaderboard. Get Living’s “Fiittest residents” at each location will be rewarded with an AssaultBike for their home courtesy of Get Living.

It comes after more than half (53%) of UK consumers purchased home workout products during the pandemic. A 2021 report from GlobalData showed that 75% intended to continue working out at home post-pandemic.

Fiit also saw subscriptions rise 600% in the last year alone, with at-home workouts proving popular despite gyms reopening without restrictions.

Although many people were faced with no choice but to turn their living rooms and spare bedrooms into gyms over the past couple of years, workout habits have shifted for the long-run, with many now looking for flexibility when it comes to how they choose to exercise – whether that means opting for a vinyasa flow in the living room or taking it to the gym for a guided HIIT session.

Steven Osei, Head of Brand Experience at Get Living, said: “We’re proud to already offer so many options for keeping active in our neighbourhoods funding free weekly yoga, HIIT and bootcamp classes, delivered by local partners. We also know how our residents value being within walking distance of gyms and studios.

“With so many of our residents now well versed in getting active in the comfort of their own home, we’re delighted to be able to help give them the tools they need to take their workouts to the next level. Fiit has so much choice and variety, and we’re excited to partner with them to help give our residents more flexibility and support when it comes to keeping fit.”

Get Living will distribute memberships to 1,000 residents across East Village, Elephant Central (East and South London respectively) and Manchester’s New Maker Yards on a ‘first come first served’ basis.

Daniel Shellard, CEO and Co Founder of  Fiit said: “Joining forces with Get Living is a great way to continue our mission to help people keep fit wherever they are. The majority of workouts on Fiit happen at home – 30% via TV and 60% on mobile/tablet – although we know about 2/3 of fitness goers now take a hybrid approach to their fitness habits.

“Get Living is committed to looking after residents’ health and wellbeing, and we’re delighted to be able to provide their customers with more flexibility and choice, alongside our trainers’ expertise.”

Homes to rent through Get Living come fully furnished, with WiFi included and set up ready to go. Residents who opt for Sky Glass can connect to Fiit through their TV over WiFi, with no satellite dish installation required.

Other benefits include access to free social events, as well as an established network of community groups, an on-site relationship management and maintenance team to respond to queries as well as a 24/7 security team.
